Become an election worker
The Stafford County Election Office operates 1 polling location at the Stafford County Annex on Election Day to serve the citizens of Stafford County. Normally three election board workers are assigned to each precinct polling station: one Supervising Judge and two Election Board workers. The election office is responsible for administering general elections, city-school elections, primary elections, and special elections for Stafford County.
We look for civic-minded individuals to serve as election workers. The largest challenge facing election officers
throughout the country is the successful recruitment of volunteers to properly administer and monitor the electoral
process. Other issues may gain more media attention, but recruiting and retaining quality election workers, we believe, is
the critical factor in assuring an accurate and fair election. Election Workers are the unsung heroes and heroines of
the elections process -they make our democracy work, and they make it the very best it can be.
