**Starting with the 2026 Election Cycle, there is no longer a 3-day grace period for ballots to be received by the Election Office. Ballots must make it back to the office by 7pm on Election Night.**

CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE is NOON (12:00 PM) on Monday, June 1st, 2026.
FILING FEE:
- No filing fee for precinct committee candidates.
- $1.00 for township candidates.
- $20.00 for city/school candidates.
- $50.00 for county candidates.
Filing forms can be picked up in the Stafford County Clerk's office, 2nd floor, Courthouse, 209 N. Broadway, St. John, KS 67576.
